I'm not even sure how I came to find Manna Organics, but I'm so glad that I did. I always buy the same bread products and it's easy to get bored! I can't express how amazing this bread is. It's a carb-a-holics, cake-like, chewy dream come true. No more oversized calorie packed muffins or wanting to have a forbidden muffin or having low-fat crummy muffins. Just eat this bread!
First off, there are minimal, pronounceable ingredients in every loaf. No hydrogenated mystery "manna" here. I taste-tested four different loaves and i have a lot to say about each of them, but first, a little about the company...

Now, on to the breads...
The first slice of heaven was a piece of their Bavarian Rye Sourdough No Wheat bread. I had it cut into cubes and topped my salad with it. It was like having rye croutons! So, what's in this loaf? Organic whole rye flour, filtered water, sea salt, organic caraway seeds, organic fennel seeds, organic coriander seeds. After having it, the first thing I thought of was a get together I was having this Labor Day weekend. I cut each slice into quarters, topped it with some whipped cream cheese and a square of smoked salmon. I squeezed a little lemon on top and needless to say these were the first and only thing I set out for guests (aside from a few cookies) that were gone in a heartbeat.
The next cream-cheesable slice I had was their Carrot Raisin bread. Let me be frank, I do not like raisins very much. I like them covered in chocolate or minimally baked into some cinnamon raisin bread. The raisins in this..., um, carrot cake like loaf did not bother me one bit! What's better?? All that is in the recipe is sprouted organic wheat kernels, filtered water, organic carrots and organic raisins. That's it. So when you see that there is a bit of sugar (more than I'd usually see or eat in a slice of bread for that matter) you get over it fast, because there is no added sugar. Amazingness.
Let's talk about the Millet Rice bread. One picture and I had people asking for details. Moist, chewy, dense bread that was un-be-lieveable toasted with some natural almond butter. I could seriously eat this every day (I'm kind of planning on it). This was my favorite of all of the breads I got to try and I will be putting it on my approved foods list ASAP.
The last loaf I'm reporting on is their Banana Walnut Hemp bread. This was my least favorite and that isn't saying I didn't down the toasted slice shown on paper towel in about five seconds. Again, no added sugar, but sweet! I actually thought it was banana walnut muffin. Bread? What bread? CAKE! The only reason I wouldn't buy this is because I could see a jar of Nutella making its way into the cabinet and neither the loaf, nor the chocolate spread would last very long!
I just can't say enough about this bread. Really. I'm just going to stop talking about it now and toast a slice to keep my mouth shut and do it without risking a "muffin" top.
